Danny Rose has apologised for the "ill-judged" timing and manner of his comments suggesting he was open to leaving Tottenham.
On Thursday morning, the England left-back was quoted in The Sun stating "time is running out" for him to win trophies and he would have "no qualms" telling the Spurs hierarchy how he feels.
But in a statement today he has said: "Having had time to consider my actions, I acknowledge now that the timing and manner of what I said was ill-judged.
"My words were not mean to offend and for that I would like to apologise to the chairman, manager, my team-mates and the fans. I'd also like to wish the lads good luck ahead of Sunday's game against Newcastle."
